Pinhead Components Inc. (Pinhead) collects information from individuals and companies (corporations, other business entities) we do business with, including customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders and others. Personal information collected by Pinhead will be subject to this Privacy Policy.

Purpose of Information

We collect information only when it is pertinent to our business dealings with the individual or company. The primary purpose of the personal information that we collect is to provide us with full contact information for individuals and companies, so that we can readily contact them by a variety of means when necessary. Where personal information is collected for other purposes we shall identify such purposes at the time the information is collected.

Where personal information is collected for key registration, we maintain a registry for our customers in order to confirm the customers’ identity, and provide the correct replacement key. Personal information shall not be used for any purposes other that those for which it was obtained, except with the consent of the person providing it or as required by law. Personal information may be provided to our employees, agents or representatives who need it to perform their duties for the company. All such parties are required to abide by our Privacy Policy.

When individuals or company’s provide us with personal information us with that information, we shall consider such provision as consent to the use of such information for the stated purposes. In all cases, the use of personal information to permit the company or its agents to contact the person shall be implied. Should we wish to use personal information for the purposes other that those stated we shall obtain the person’s consent before using the personal information for such other purposes. Access and Maintenance

Any person whose personal information we have collected has the right to ask whether we hold any of their personal information and to see that information. If the personal information we have collected is incorrect or incomplete, then they can ask us to change that information. In such cases, we may ask for verification of the corrected information. For registered customers, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
